We have a Wattle Day, it's September the 1st.
Wattle is also the Australian floral emblem.
Its use extends far from just being something beautiful to look at. With a little research, you can read about the many kinds of Wattle and how it has been used in Australia long before colonisation and for many different purposes. Food, tools, and medicine. Learning about the history and culture of our First Nations people is important and Wattle might be an excellent topic for you to investigate. Let us know what you learn!
These would make a beautiful addition to your earring collection.
Love Maggie May
